So whats the deal with mp3's not downloading higher than 128k with your newest versions? I tried downloading songs which in previous versions of 4k were saved as 256k or 320k, now only download as 128k... They were the same links, nothings changed

So whats the deal with mp3's not downloading higher than 128k with your newest versions? I tried downloading songs which in previous versions of 4k were saved as 256k or 320k, now only download as 128k to check and see if it was me... They were the same links, nothings changed but this software. Why are things being limited or dumbed down to shitty quality, this is a nice app, but the functionality and quality is starting to suffer, why?

I agree, why are songs suddenly not downloading higher than 128k quality when I have previously downloaded them at higher quality with this program?

Hello,

thanks for question. Our programm is parsing all possible qualities that YouTube provides for the specified video, so we don't change the bitrate. Probably last days YouTube reduced it.

I completely dissagree with your reply about YouTube reducing audio quality.

Using other video downloaders I DO get better audio bitrates!
so I think this to be a 4k resolvable issue.

the audio from YouTube will always be a downside but must be accepted even at 192kb,
128 bitrate is not!
Please repair this problem as I do love your programm and want to keep using it. thx.

I asure you, this is only one of several downloads i encountered today

DownloadHelper hasn't been functioning as should be. Nearly no 1920x1080 nor Vevo video's on YouTube, which is why I switched to K4
I've been on the net for over 10 years and have a very extensive video library, constantly trying to improve its' quality
but listening to 126k wil not do it for me.

2 weeks ago I posted a reply to your request. Where's my feedback?
the Audio quality is still only 126kb.
If 4k can't get the basics right then don't ask for donations or payments.
If 4k can't fix the audioproblem, just say so, don't waste anyone's time.

Hey there, Did this ever get sorted? i am encountering the same problem as well. Tracks used to come down at 256kbps, but now only 128kbps.

Doesn't seem like a Youtube problem?

I didn't realize this was an issue many years ago. It apparently got sorted on later issues but is happening in all new versions as of January of 2020. They've opted to ignore all suggestions and request for helping me or responding with any kind of work-around or further options.
