Why is this still not done?

This should be in the options menue to toggle it on or off.

What also would be kinda nice is would be an option to only download the thumbnails, so I could
assign them to the songs instead of having to download the whole file again.

Please implement this finally. Who even downloads mp3's from youtube without their thumbnails?
I bought this product some time ago and saw this suggestion with over 200 votes for it. I thought after some time this will be implemented for sure but now it has way more than 300 and still isn't even in progress? Adding this feature would make it a perfect product for me.


A little "help" if you don't know how to implement it:

http://img.youtube.com/vi/VIDEO_ID/maxresdefault.jpg
insert the right video id and you'll get the best thumbnail quality, if there is a high quality picture.

If there's no picture (the blank one) then take this link and you'll get the standard thumbnail.

If you check the first one before taking the second one, you'll guarantee that the mp3 will have the best thumbnail possible assigned to it.

I'd also love to see this feature.
It's actually incredibly easy to implement as well with the systems for downloading, renaming and selecting resolutions.
The thumbnail for each video is stored at:

https://img.youtube.com/vi/ VIDEO ID HERE /maxresdefault.jpg

for 1080p

sddefault.jpg for 720p
hqdefault.jpg for 480p
mqdefault.jpg for 360p

For maximum bonus points grab the overall thumbnail from a playlist as well, which is an identical process but replace the video ID with the playlist ID.
