error cannot download

For the past few weeks, ANY video I try to download always says "Error: Can't download". I've tested dozens of videos. The program is completely broken now.

Updating solved the problem for me

Still have this problem, even with the latest update. Other tools work fine.

I've been using Downloader and YT to MP3 since installing the new the updates a couple of days ago and both still work fine.with no errors at all, not even when downloading a playlist. It's possible that the problem may relate specifically to you / your PC.

The only thing I can thing of is to completely uninstall the existing programme then install the update from fresh and see if that cures the problem. If it's still occurring, then contact 4K via Help / Support and see what they have to say.

One other thing, 4K states that there is a risk that YT may temporarily ban your IP if downloading too many videos at once (see the comments under Tools / Preferences / Intensity).

If somebody is banned, I’m not sure how that shows itself, e.g. if it only affects trying to download videos, or perhaps not even being to access YT at all. I don’t know if there would be any sort of site message from YT..

You could install and try the latest version of YT to MP3 to see if you have any problems there. The principle seems to be th esame as Downloader except that when the video is downloaded, it then converts the soundtrack to MP3.
