recent changes to Youtube is forcing user to enter link twice to download the video

I'm using Mac OS. When Youtube link is copied and pasted, the first attempt automatically fails after parsing stage. The expected file size does not or partially shows up after parsing. When the link is copied in again, the expected file size for each video size is displayed and downloaded normally.
