The latest version of 4K Video Downloader (4.4.8.2317) don't open in my laptop. I have Linux Mint 17.2

I have been using 4KVD for a long time. And today when I entered the application, a message of a new version was opened, so I installed it, but after installing it I could not use it anymore, it does not open. Try to uninstall and reinstall several times, also try with 4K YouTube to MP3 and the same thing happens.
