As of 01/09/2017 the Windows version (4.4.02235) does not download MP3s off videos, offering a generic "error" message. Any ideas?

I have run into this as well, but what I have found is that if you use the 4k video downloader and then ask it to extract audio from the video instead of downloading the video, it will create the audio mp3.

I think they should migrate that code into the 4k youtube to mp3
