hope you can support H.265 HEVC format clips download.

because H.265 HEVC is slim and small file size video format, i like 480p or 720p but the H.264 video file is much bigger, H.265 just need H.264 haft file size.

But the creators of this program need a license for the H.265 (HEVC) videocodec, and it costs money ...

I conculde that in software free to the enduser no fee is required for HEVC aka H265.

Do you really need a license to download files with the "webm (HEVC265)" codec on youtube? Other software downloads videos with this extension and is compatible with Smart TV (at least on my Samsung).

Unfortunately Youtube videos are not encoded in HEVC but in VP9 instead, ans this software CAN download videos in VP9. If you want to re-encode it in HEVC, it may take hours

I download 100's of files in 2048P format (UHD). There is an AV1 codec that I think it being pushed by youtube instead of HEVC. It will be free and have similar features as HEVC. I have downloaded the beta of AV1 codec (the required codec) from Microsoft store, but nothing can use it. I can use it to play some of the files downloaded from YouTube (and nothing else I have found uses it yet) but I recommend that everyone should be aware that AV1 (NOT AVI.. it is AV1 < Number 1) is almost certainly going to be locked into youtube considering the legal mess to embrace HEVC.
I suggest that 4K Video Downloader should embrace this AV1 codec ASAP so I can watch those files I can't watch unless I exit from 4K Video Downloader and watch in M$ Video Player.

NO. 265 HEVC is EXPERIMENTAL at best, and for low resolution (below 4k) even 1080p is CRAP!
The videos look AWFUL, grainy, artifacted and typically if your GPU isn't 4k optimized you can't even decode 1080p HEVC without horrible resource hogging.

In other words--file size doesn't matter. Everybody has terabytes and terabytes to waste. Nobody wants to shell out 1 grand for a new GPU just to use the same 1080p projector with it for the sake of unused bytes being more.

Buy a new hard drive, its cheaper than a new video card.

One can't say H.265 looks terrible. The container has nothing to do with the quality - the compression level determines the quality. The problem with H.265 is it's processor intensive. Phones, tablets and entry level notebooks typically don't have the processing capability on either the CPU or GPU sides to handle the decoding without dropping frames.

Yes, it is possible to download YouTube videos but YouTube presently doesn't give any feature to download any YouTube video in your gallery you can only save the videos for offline purposes which is temporary.
