parsing WTH?!

Why does it take so long & no progress bar? Three times I thought my computer was frozen b/c it looks as if nothing's happening. A 1-minute video has taken about 20 mins to parse and I have blazing internet speed. If the process can't be sped up, at least put a progress bor onscreen so we can see that SOMETHING IS HAPPENING.
